Design Engineer
Description
Mechanical design/engineering across a large variety of products / industries (i.e. construction/ag equipment, mining, ATV, recreational vehicle, etc...).
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field
- Must be proficient CAD user (ProE Wildfire preferred)
- 8-10 years mechanical design experience including design proficiency with weldments and sheet metal (for heavy/mobile equipment)
- Will consider less experience (5-8 years) but only if it is good, intensive equipment design experience.
- Must be strong engineer – able to do engineering calculations, specify weld, GD&T, materials. Good manufacturing background and knowledge of manufacturing processes. Must be able to do high level design (i.e. complex welded structures) for heavy equipment
- Good communication/interpersonal skills required.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must have a stable work history
Preferences
- Local candidates strongly preferred (Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota or Wisconsin), but not a requirement.
- Prefer well rounded mechanical engineer – weldments/sheet metal experience is a must, but additional experience in castings, plastics, linkages, tooling, etc... is a plus.
- Prior heavy equipment exposure – farming background, mechanic experience, etc...
